A Job Interview
I've decided to delay my studies for a year due to some financial issues of setting bills for my school fees. I went to the nearest shopping mall and searched for vacancies there until I came across these shops:
Well it wasn't actually me who came across these myself but apparently it was David who introduced me about working at Starbucks. I never thought about working in such a fancy coffee house before due to my past experience of working in a Sushi bar had given me nightmares about the inflexible long working hours despite the salary rate is as low as 3.50 bucks per hour. He told the that the salary rate for part-timers is much more satisfactory yet employees would have a whole lot of interactions with their valued customers. I took a step forward to face the job interview and the manager told me she would give me a call within a week to inform whether if I'm on the employed list...
The interview was a little bit "fishy" because I'm more used to listen people talking about themselves more than I talk about myself but overall it was okay... So what's the most important for a job interview other than outfits and resume?

It's kinda true for me to care about political stuffs although I can't vote yet simply because personally, I believe almost everything in our lives depend on it. Be it Education, Economics, and most importantly... Human Rights. I mean, who doesn't vote for a respectable politician who promises Human Rights and prestigious Education for all? Besides, I think I'm not as Big-Hearted as it stated above because I don't usually give more than I take. I would usually figure up to balance up giving and taking at as many situations as I can because I don't want to feel like I'm "owing a favor". Also, I had no mood grooming myself at all due to big stress until last week that I started to groom myself more again... Even global economic slump these days has caused me buying much lesser clothes... (*sigh~)
And about traits of my dream guy is damn true... although I would not want him to give me too much as it will eventually end me up as a spoiled brat... LOL... And I wouldn't want my guy to push me doing things beyond my limits as the word "risks" doesn't always sound positive to me... What I mean about "risks" in a positive point of view is that doing bungee jumping, motivations for me to do something in order to achieve my goals, and traveling would be fine but definitely not STDs... which means that he'll be the great man behind all my great successes that I always hope for. Last but not least, who doesn't fall for a guy who is always keeping himself in shape?
So that's all for today... I'd resume posting more stuffs about my life sooner...

The Boring Days of Semester Break With Poor Internet Connection
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted any new updates (especially that photo) in time due to limited Internet Connection experienced these days. Uploading photos cause long term disconnection and I promise that I'll post it as soon as possible when the connections are fixed. And guess what? Hectic schedules of final examinations are finally over and everyone of us are having a semester break from school... Well, I can say it's the school I'm about to leave very soon.
Recently, I've been staying at home reading some books, watching TV, visiting relatives and waiting for my Foundation Certificate to be released and I'll be sending it for conversion at the Public Service Department (only if I manage to pass) as an application to Law School. I understand that if my certificate has failed the application, I'll have to take A Levels before pursuing a Law Degree. I don't mind taking another pre-University studies although many people would think it's a total waste of time as long as I can finally pursue what I've been longing for.
And what about that hot guy I keep mentioning about? Well, I've not bumped into him just simply because I've not any taken public transports outdoors these days. And to be honest, I don't think I'll ever meet him again... It sounds pathetic but let's face the facts. He lives in the opposite direction from my home in the country I live and don't forget that he's a Middle Eastern. He can just fly away returning to his homeland anytime as Middle Easterns are stereotypically filthy-rich here.
It has been so boring that I'm going to spend most of my holidays at some public libraries and bookstores for some light reading, references and shopping. The connection has been really bad here... I'm Back...
Preparations for the final examinations have been so overwhelming until I had no time to update any posts... I'm so sorry if anyone of you is wondering where on earth I'd been to... I'm so sorry!
Well, guess what? I received quite a number of presents from my family and friends lately... A parcel arrived my doorstep accepted by my dad from the mailman at 12pm three days ago when I was doing my last minute studies at school just 2 hours before the Math exam. I actually didn't know about the arrival of the parcel until my dad gave me a call and told me about it.
I headed home after the exam to find out what was delivered to me. It was a book delivered by my 3rd eldest sister in U.K. titled "I'm Not Myself These Days" by Josh Kilmer Purcell, a memoir of a gay man struggling for survival and everything else he needs in the society. I actually had searched for this book for 4 months at every single local bookstore but it isn't available at anyone of them so I asked my sister to buy it for me all the way from U.K. I wonder if she can tell that I'm gay by reading that book... or maybe she just buys it without reading it?
(Notice : I'll post a review about this book much later around next week)
After that, at 6:47pm, my eldest sister visited home with her husband. They just came back from Bali trip bringing some bags of souvenirs. I let you guess what she has bought me... What's in your mind now? Haven't you got any idea? Well, I guess I have to tell you that I actually received a...

Yeah, I know it sounds weird that she bought it for me without any knowledge that I'm gay. She even bought it for my dad and my younger brother as a practical "joke" which I don't even find it to be funny... Use it? I don't know... and I don't want to know... LOL

Went Karaoke With Birthday Girl
It was Cheryl's birthday yesterday. To celebrate her birthday, close friends and a some classmates gathered up together for karaoke at The Garden's Mall. The entrance session starts at 1pm but we arrived early at 12pm. To waste some time we all went to the closest McDonald's fast food chain downstairs in the mall. Adapted from the Oreo's cookies TV commercial, we stabbed french fries on top of the ice-cream just like how the kid dunked those cookies in milk on TV. Creative eh?
Look how he enjoyed eating it... OMG... Okay! honestly, it actually doesn't taste bad at all. I even tried it before... LOLAnd so we all went all the way upstairs back for the karaoke. 涙そうそう/Nada Sou Sou/ Tears For You
If you like to watch the Japanese drama "One Liter of Tears" (1リットルの涙/Ichi rittoru no namida) and cry hard throughout the series, then you would enjoy watching this film as well. Released in 2006 which is one year before "One Liter of Tears", this sentimental film tells about a 21-year-old young man named Yotaro (Satoshi Tsumabuki) who works quite a number of laborous jobs Okinawa in order to earn money providing his younger (step)sister Kaoru (Masami Nagasawa) the most prestigious high school education in the Mainland of Japan and then one of the best colleges back in Okinawa.
A childhood flashback by Yota is shown when he made a pinky promise to his mother on her deathbed that he'll take good care of Kaoru regardless of any circumstances. Both of them become orphans after their mother's death when Yota was only 8 years old, leaving for Okinawa to search for their aunt.
However, things do not happen well in Yota's life after his sister's return. He opens a restaurant but he's deceived by a con man on the opening night. Even worse, to support his sister's education fees in college, he works doubly hard sacrificing his relationship with a medical university student who appears to be his girlfriend. In the end, he suffers and dies in the hospital because of overworking, leaving Kaoru and his lover behind.
I cried so hard at the final part during the aftermath of Yota's burial ceremony when Kaoru opens a very special parcel which is delivered for her. She cries when she finds out the content of the parcel. It was the most beautiful silk kimono bought by Yota to her for her upcoming coming of age ceremony...

Britannia High
Do you think you've loved High School Musical so much until you wished to learn their dance moves and tried to sing their songs with your friends? Introducing Britannia High, the widely known musical drama (Yes, it's drama) which is commonly compared with High School Musical, the movie. According to Wikipedia, the casts are the opinion that Britannia High is "Something new. And it's British".
An amount of three songs are being performed in each and every episode of the drama series at the right yet preferable times such as during stage performances and auditions compared to High School Musical which performed songs when the casts of the movie are playing basketball (I wonder how people can do that in reality...) cramping up lots of songs. Moreover, I've noticed that more casts in Britannia High have the ability of playing musical instruments compared to High School Musical which only shows one girl playing the piano in the movie.
Overall, I would rank this musical drama a total of five stars (*****) because it highly focuses on healthy teenage lifestyle and the spirits of doing well academically and musically. If you want to know more about the drama series such as characters and casts, why not watching them in Youtube?

Just Another Midterm Examination...
I sat for Psychology paper this evening at 2:30pm. Literally, I can say it was an absolute, complete nightmare that I could not even bear to sit. Previously, I spent like hours revising it but somehow, I didn't manage to store those crappy lecture notes in my brain though. Hence, I wrote crap jokes (which are actually not funny) in the 3rd section (Essay Question) of the paper and left the room like nobody's business. I hope to survive at upcoming Math paper on next Wednesday... LOL
Tomorrow will be Friday (like, duh!) and I'd meet Esther at school in the afternoon to help her buying a registration form. Besides, I need to go shopping for more books for light reading... I wonder what I should get for this week...

Met Him Again...
I accidentally met that young cute Arabic man again this afternoon. He stood just right beside me quietly in the train, reading a book. The book he was reading was called "Cutting Edge English- Elementary Level" (that makes me strongly believe that he is studying English in the British Embassy). I felt some heat at my ears when I was staring him, wondering if I actually blushed in front of him... But this time, I somehow remembered that he actually looked like a male singer I saw from A.R.T. (Arab Radio Television) Channel on TV (and yeah, I sometimes watch that channel from time to time for songs in midnights whenever I can't really sleep as my own freakish habit) about 2 years ago (and still can't believe I still remember it). And indeed, I can't believe he actually looks like...
... the younger version of SHADY ASWAD... The Syrian male singer who sings "romantically (at least his voice sounds so because I have very limited understanding in Arabic except the word 'Halbibi' which means 'Love'... LOL)". The hottie I met looks exactly like him in the photo (and okay, I admit he's a hottie as well) except with the fact that he (the guy I met) has a clean shaven face... Hehe...

Top 10 Reasons To Hate Disney Bitches (Part 2)

5) Misleading the term "ideal men" - Straight men are more pressured in this era when it comes to courting a girl - prove me wrong once more. In order to be a realistic relationship candidate for a girl they wish to date, they should pass a test of having all 7C's. Does it mean 7C's in terms of business writing ethics? NO! I meant Cash, Car, Condominium (as investment), Career, Credit Cards, Cottage (or even worse - Castle), and Cooking skills. And in fact, all these characteristics of being rich alone DO apply to all princes/male protagonists in all fairy tales. Even Aladdin fakes himself to be wealthy claiming himself as a prince in order to court Princess Jasmine. Does it mean to teach boys to act filthy rich when they're not in order to court girls they like?
4) Nicknaming daughters as "Princess" after the characters in tales - I don't understand why parents do this to their own daughters without thinking logically. To be honest, princesses in ALL tales are depicted as pretty but dumb and clumsy women who cause a whole lot of troubles. Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty literally does NOTHING but then falls asleep after being clumsy to put her hand getting pricked by the needle. Snow White runs like a mad person escaping from a nut house in forest trying to escape from being murdered by the Queen but in the end she eats a poisoned apple because she's simply dumb enough to be tricked by the Queen in disguise. Ariel from The Little Mermaid uses a fork to comb her hair at a dinner in front of well respected people. Does it mean that parents actually wish their daughters to behave like these so called "Princesses"?
3) Misleading romantic relationships - If you're observant enough, you'll find out that some main characters (male and female) have only met each other not more than twice especially Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Snow White and Princess Aurora agree to marry the princes simply because they "revive" their "Princess" lives. Another prince marries Cinderella simply because her feet fits the glass slipper (foot fetish?). To be logical, who on earth wants to marry someone who you have only met twice skipping the dating process?
2) So called "Happy Endings" - In the end of these tales, the only message they bring to kids in order to let them sleep is actually "... And They Lived Happily Ever After" although this phrase only appears as the ending of the animated film Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella. But sometimes, smart curious kids would ask "Why some people divorce after marriage (since the ending of these tales are so "perfect")?" In reality, it is agreed that not all marriages last to bring the ending of the so called phrase - "... And They Lived Happily Ever After". So how would you answer these kids when they already know the fact that more and more couples are divorcing?
1) Lacking of moral teachings - So we do know that all good stories to tell your kids should have a moral teaching to them so that they can learn lessons from there. But all these dumb fairy tales which portrays everything about the romance and the society wrongly has simply ruined everything from teaching the kids properly. 5) Misleading the term "ideal men" - Straight men are more pressured in this era when it comes to courting a girl - prove me wrong once more. In order to be a realistic relationship candidate for a girl they wish to date, they should pass a test of having all 7C's. Does it mean 7C's in terms of business writing ethics? NO! I meant Cash, Car, Condominium (as investment), Career, Credit Cards, Cottage (or even worse - Castle), and Cooking skills. And in fact, all these characteristics of being rich alone DO apply to all princes/male protagonists in all fairy tales. Even Aladdin fakes himself to be wealthy claiming himself as a prince in order to court Princess Jasmine. Does it mean to teach boys to act filthy rich when they're not in order to court girls they like?
4) Nicknaming daughters as "Princess" after the characters in tales - I don't understand why parents do this to their own daughters without thinking logically. To be honest, princesses in ALL tales are depicted as pretty but dumb and clumsy women who cause a whole lot of troubles. Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty literally does NOTHING but then falls asleep after being clumsy to put her hand getting pricked by the needle. Snow White runs like a mad person escaping from a nut house in forest trying to escape from being murdered by the Queen but in the end she eats a poisoned apple because she's simply dumb enough to be tricked by the Queen in disguise. Ariel from The Little Mermaid uses a fork to comb her hair at a dinner in front of well respected people. Does it mean that parents actually wish their daughters to behave like these so called "Princesses"?
3) Misleading romantic relationships - If you're observant enough, you'll find out that some main characters (male and female) have only met each other not more than twice especially Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Snow White and Princess Aurora agree to marry the princes simply because they "revive" their "Princess" lives. Another prince marries Cinderella simply because her feet fits the glass slipper (foot fetish?). To be logical, who on earth wants to marry someone who you have only met twice skipping the dating process?
2) So called "Happy Endings" - In the end of these tales, the only message they bring to kids in order to let them sleep is actually "... And They Lived Happily Ever After" although this phrase only appears as the ending of the animated film Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella. But sometimes, smart curious kids would ask "Why some people divorce after marriage (since the ending of these tales are so "perfect")?" In reality, it is agreed that not all marriages last to bring the ending of the so called phrase - "... And They Lived Happily Ever After". So how would you answer these kids when they already know the fact that more and more couples are divorcing?
1) Lacking of moral teachings - So we do know that all good stories to tell your kids should have a moral teaching to them so that they can learn lessons from there. But all these dumb fairy tales which portrays everything about the romance and the society wrongly has simply ruined everything from teaching the kids properly. Top 10 Reasons To Hate Disney Bitches (Part 1)
"A 16-Month Calendar? I Bet You Can't Do Math..."Fairy tales are often told to children as bedtime stories when a princess marries a prince and they lived in the ending of so called "Happily Ever After". Even worse, in late 20th century, Disney Pictures agreed to adapt these fairy tale stories into animated films in order to attract audiences' attentions. But most part of the films are actually misleading kids about the true colors of the society and romance.
I couldn't believe myself to fall for that shit when I was younger in my early childhood just because of the fancy yet colorful illustrations in the films themselves. I personally do not mean any offense posting this because I have my own top 10 reasonable reasons to hate them all. Take a look at the list below how they teach kids about the society as well as romance from my own perspective point of view:
10) Male main characters are often depicted as cowards who are irrational and irresponsible - prove me wrong. The prince in the story Cinderella needs his father to set up a ball for him to for matchmaking, another from The Little Mermaid ditches Ariel, the mermaid princess simply because she's mute, General from Mulan gets defeated like a pussy in war and the next prince from Sleeping Beauty comes for the rescue simply because the person who is sleeping is a beauty. These clearly shows some degree of dangerous Feminist propaganda of putting the males into a state of defamation.
9) Stereotyping people negatively - Villains are often portrayed as ugly, violent mad people who commit crimes and other disastrous events. Stepsisters in Cinderella show negative sexual humor with bouncy asses when they walk to symbolize arrogance. Snow White lives with SEVEN MEN despite being a respectable woman yet still counted as "PURE". To be realistic, any woman who lives with a significant number of male strangers will be criticized as a WHORE automatically. Main characters in the tales are portrayed with beautiful faces to prove innocence and elegance. But in reality, they're quite a number of criminals caught who are born with pretty faces which you can see in the Media. Pretty faces = innocence? I don't think so.
8) Encouraging revenge due to jealousy - This is blatantly depicted in Snow White & Seven Dwarfs when the Queen orders a hunter to murder Snow White simply because the Mirror says that Snow White is prettier. In reality, how many criminal records or news have you heard that a murder is committed because the victim is prettier?

Beautiful Eyes...
I woke up at 6am this morning to catch a train to school this morning but he train arrived at 7:45am instead of 7:05am. So that means I was late for school again which starts at 8am (*sigh~)...
While I was waiting for the train at the train station, I saw a young, handsome yet hot Arabic man sitting on a bench carrying a black canvas backpack. He has such white, flawless yet smooth looking complexion, neat classical hairstyle that matches his facial shape, thin rosy pink lips and a firm moderate Greek nose. He was wearing a blue checkered shirt, a pair of gray jeans and a pair of black Nike shoes with white strips at the sides. But what attracted me the most are his beautiful pair of hazel eyes. His thick masculine eyebrows and long curvy eyelashes simply made me irresistible when it comes to looking at him... But I wasn't dare to approach nearer in order to take a photo of him... What a waste~
I caught myself getting horny when it comes to looking at him... LOL... Well, you can't blame me for that because it had been quite hard for me to search for an eye candy at a train station early in the morning until I saw one this morning... As the result, I found myself blushing sitting on the same bench beside him until the train arrived. It was so embarrassing that I took some time to get over the feeling because I know it's quite wrong to have feelings toward an Arabic man because I know he's a Moslem. It started off when I sat in silence,

Dancing along into the Eastern breeze,
In a search of faded memories and dreams,
Decaying in a corner of nowhere to be seen.
The drops of tears have now fallen from sky,
They keep reminding me for not to cry.
When masqueraders keep trying hard to pry,
The fallen tears in my heart will never be dried.

Sports Shirt Design
My younger brother's best friends came over in a total of 3 at my home last week at 9am right after I woke up to request and begged me for designing a school sports shirt. I was shocked to receive such request early in the morning because I, myself is not very good at drawing especially when it comes to designing a shirt with a PC. I can never stand anyone begging to do something I'm not very good at so I refused and then explained to them but they insisted and kept begging me to make one for them... (*sigh~ kids...)
For crying out loud, I couldn't stand them any longer and agreed to make them a shirt but I warned them in advance that my drawing would not be as good as any other people - And so, they agreed. I was then given information of their school and their sport team which is the "Hornbill team". They told me that their main color of their team is yellow so I had to design it in such color. (*So many requirements...)
I had done it just 2 days ago and sent the drawings to the tailor. Here is the initial sketching I had done earlier:

So, the horn was being rejected by them. I wonder how people would know if the bird is a Hornbill since the horn is missing... LOL... I used Inkscape to draw it as I can't really afford to own Adobe Illustrator. And because I'm quite unfamiliar at using the software, the ugly results came out below (Please pardon me for ugly drawing):
P/S: I have no idea what kind of font they used for the letter K for the right sleeve as well as the school badge at the left sleeve. Therefore, I leave both sleeves blank. The backside design of the shirt is kept under privacy... hehehe...

Valentine's Day
To all friends and readers who are currently in their romantic relationships with their partners, I wish you all a Happy Valentines Day.
Although I'm not really celebrating Valentine's day, it is indeed an important day to spend more time with my family today. Hey, don't you agree that family love is important too?
Besides, I do believe that if you have found someone you truly love and care, Valentine's Day will actually happen everyday. Why do I say so? That is because my brothers-in-law have provided quite a lot of special presents, good surprises and nice places to date for my elder sisters from the day they firstly commit their relationships until now after their marriage... LOL

Second School Semester Break
Today is the first day of the second school semester break. Final examinations ended quite roughly with Marketing yesterday because everyone was looking forward to go out for vacations instead of striving hard studying last minute for it... LOL
It was really funny to see everyone scrambling out of the hall to go home just like what the chickens did in the movie "Chicken Run" when the exam ended at 4pm...LOL... I headed to MPH store alone at M.V. after having some tea and snacks with Yoke Fung at 5pm.
I thought I can actually buy a book to kill my time for this semester break once I reach there but the prices of most books are too expensive. Most of the language books there are priced highly are Mandarin, Japanese and Thai. I do understand that the language books for Mandarin and Japanese are being priced at higher cost because they are gaining popularity to be spoken worldwide but THAI???

I still can't believe my eyes that a book for learning Thai can be that expensive in the country I live. Final Examinations...
Final examinations have started this evening at 2pm in auditorium hall with Writing for Business to be the very first paper to sit in. For this subject, students were given 2 hours to answer all the questions provided. There were 4 sections in this paper where students are required to write two different essays (memo and formal letter) at the 3rd and 4th Section.
Overall, I would rate the paper moderately hard that I couldn't even finish the final question... That proves Silly Joey is a careless little boy most of the time during examinations... And that carelessness has sometimes cause him losing some precious marks...
A funny miracle happened due to the shortage of time and the exhaustion of writing while sitting for the exam. Silly Joey used his RIGHT hand that is famous for sketching outline pictures to write just like what he did during Sociology lectures. It was kinda shocking that the hand actually worked well for jolting fast (but ugly handwriting... LOL). Too bad the index finger bled as I overused my strength to grip the pen to write...
Joined Ozee, Yoke Fung and Poh2 to S.F. Cafe at JO Mall near our school after examination for tea and chit-chatting. But instead of tea, we ordered cakes as well for desserts... LOL... I have to be honest telling you that the cakes are quite delicious but fattening (except mine because I had Lemon Yogurt Cheese Cake with green tea). I browsed their menus and surprisingly I found Pad Thai, my favorite... but the price gave me a deep disappointment just because it is too expensive for just a plate of simple Pad Thai.
Wednesday will be a hectic day for me as I'll be sitting Web Page Design, the subject that I hate most!!! I'm wondering how to cope with this subject...
Overall, I would rate the paper moderately hard that I couldn't even finish the final question... That proves Silly Joey is a careless little boy most of the time during examinations... And that carelessness has sometimes cause him losing some precious marks...

I really don't like this Chinese New Year... It's irritating!!!
I don't really mean offensive to say this but things have actually happened too much during this Chinese New Year... It doesn't feel like Chinese New Year at all as I'm sandwiched between this celebration and upcoming final examinations... Even the family dinner was simply ruined by my own dad for not joining in the table purposely although my mom and I had begged him to join... Urrgh~~~ I wonder what was wrong with him!!! I don't want this kind of family dinner~
Then, there isn't anyone visiting my house for this so-called celebration at all. Yes, I admit that I'm quite lonely sitting alone at home without any old friends coming to have some noise. The whole neighborhood I live has been so quiet that not even a single "pop" of the firecracker for the first two days of celebration in the whole neighborhood I live as well... Damn it! I hate this kind of loneliness...
Besides, all I have done in this week are just eat, eat and EAT... Therefore, I need to lose more weight when school restarts soon and I really hope I will not have this kind of Chinese New Year celebration anymore... I'm darn serious...

I'm using this opportunity wishing all my friends and everyone who is reading this blog a Happy Chinese New Year although I still have to do some revisions for upcoming final examinations... It seems that I'll be having a quiet week for this new year as there aren't any firecracker being played in the neighborhood (*sigh~)... Even family gathering dinner turned into a disaster just now (I'll post more about this and other posts about celebrations next week). Anyway, here's the eCard you can play below:

The Accident Hint...
I've had enough listening to my dad's "lecture" about his dreams of my marriage for about three or four months to me. But I didn't mean to tell him the truth this afternoon that I don't wanna get married (with a woman) and have children while he was driving me and my mom home from my sister's place. I understand that he was so shocked and at the same time, disappointed with my sincere answer to his "dreams". All of us then went into deep silence in the moving vehicle until we all reached home...
I'm so sorry that I accidentally gave him the first hint of confession to my own dad about my sexual orientation. I really didn't mean to do that...
Offered myself to help my dad pasting the poetic banners he has written for upcoming Chinese New Year just now. He was talking to me like usual... I know it's obvious that he was trying to break the ice... But is he trying to accept the fact?
Business With Kids...
"Umm? Dad? I wonder if you can come to my 'office' and sign our mutual-beneficial contract for a Nintendo DS as a sponsorship asset if I get straight A's..."It's just another day I'm selling some of the old textbooks at school to a bunch of junior students. Well, I don't mean to be offensive but they're just kids who are really childish asking weird questions when they were doing business with me. I wonder if they know what it means to be engaged in business conversations... Anyway, now I've found out that kids are pretty tough to do business with. Here's why:
Kid A: Hello? Is this Joe? I wanna know if you have the Pre-Calculus textbook to sell as I need it.
Me: (What the hell? What's your name? Of course you're calling me just because you NEED it...) I'm sorry that I do not have the stock for it now. It is said that Math lecturers will offer to provide the books. Please consult your lecturers if they are providing some copies. Thank you.
Kid B: Hey Joe, I'm interested to buy your books. Do you have the original copies or the xeroxed copies?
Me: (Who's the next unknown kid bothering me now? Can't these kids introduce themselves?) I have a few copies of each for sale, please refer to the posted advertisement and the enclosed list of textbooks and the suppliers on the board.
Kid B: A few copies of each? Does it mean the books are not complete?
Me: (Urrgh~ Kid! Can't you READ and UNDERSTAND my words? Shut the f**k up!) The books are complete. (How on earth am I going to sell them if they're incomplete?) I have several original copies of textbooks and a few xeroxed ones. Can I know which textbook is your concern?
Kid B: Oh, so does it mean that you're keeping the textbooks with lecture notes included for sale? Well, I'm looking for two textbooks, Pre-Calculus and General Maths. So how much do you sell them?
Me: (What? I don't even mention lecture notes are included on the advertisement I wrote. And now you're even bargaining with me? @#$%&!) ......

Disappointing Food At BBQ Chicken
It was 12:34pm when me, Chelsea, Ben, Yoke Fung and M.Y. hung out for lunch at nearby BBQ Chicken after school. The true reason for hanging out for lunch with them is because today is our final day for studying the second semester at school before final exams after Chinese New Year. Another reason of eating there was because of a recommendation of a friend who had then given me a $5 discount voucher. A significant quote as a claim, "Korea's No. 1 Chicken Restaurant" was found printed on the voucher when I read it.
Of course, there's always a small discount to be given to us, as students, when eating out around our school area. Well, you can say that hanging out for lunch there was great... until disasters happened...
All of us arrived there by taking a short walk from school. As we entered the restaurant, we saw a sign "15% Discounts for Students. Bring Your Student ID along and You May Enjoy The Privilleges" posted on the glass door. What we could see there were just a few customers eating at two tables so we entered. We were then being seated and given menus by a waitress. The very first thing which made me felt so friggin pissed in the restaurant was the waitress herself because she just left without telling us anything about recommendations after giving us menus. So we had to searched the menus for about 15 minutes ourselves before ordering.
After that we called that waitress back for ordering our lunches. The three of us, M.Y, Yoke Fung and me ordered the promotional set meals of the month on a piece of leaflet enclosed in the menus called Set C, a combination of hot and spicy chicken (a.k.a. Hot Hot Chicken) with Fiesta Rice, 2 Chicken Nuggets, Soup and Coleslaw as Ben ordered Set A, Charbroiled Chicken with Fiesta Rice, 2 Chicken Nuggets, Soup and Coleslaw. Chelsea ordered Set D, which includes Fried Chicken with Mashed Potato, 2 Chicken Nuggets, Soup and Coleslaw, for herself.
Since all set meals are being included with soft drinks, I asked the waitress what were the varieties to be chosen. But the waitress just said with an angry look, "Oh, only Pepsi and Strawberry."
What the hell is wrong with her talking to us with such a tone?
Oh well, we all thought that she might be having somekind of stress so we just kept quiet about that. Since there were only two options, all four of my friends ordered Pepsi so I chose Strawberry. After that, she just jolted down our orders with such a facial expression and left without telling us anything about the serving time.

I liked the walls as they were painted in red but there's a really big yet annoying abstract portrait of a creepy old man painting outdoors hanging on a wall near the entrance. I can even say it is the most "un-Korean" restaurant interiors I've ever seen so far. The food was then served on our tables by a waiter... wait a second! Did I just said "Waiter"? Yes, indeed, the waitress had just disappeared in the dimension of nowhere and at least he served our food with a smile. That was okay, until the we tried our food...
I started off my meal with the soup. It was sweet corn cream soup. Chelsea doesn't like corns so she just took a few tablespoonful into her mouth forcefully... After finishing the soup, I moved on to the Fiesta Rice. It tasted really good but what had actually made me shocked was the portion of the rice itself. There was just a small cup of rice on the big white place. How disappointful!
The next would be the nuggets. Gosh! They were not crispy at all but soggy... To finish it forcefully, I poke it with my fork and dip at the remaining Corn Soup then pop them into my mouth. Chelsea asked Ben if they taste good. So Ben just exclaimed "SOOOO GOOD" with funny facial expressions that everyone on the table smirked at him.
I finally tried the "Hot Hot Chicken". Well, the chicken was fine but the sauce had reached the off-limits. The spiciness was overwhelming that it felt like smokes coming out of my ears. Besides, the sauce tasted like a blend of Thai chili sauce with Kimchi sauce but with very light flavors. Therefore, too spicy but light flavors are not a balanced combination.
Finished the food forcefully and paid our bill. We thought the disasters were over but there was one more... The discounts! Where did all our discounts go? We quickly rushed to the payment counter and asked for explainations. All we could get was the lame excuse of "Promotional Sets are already in discounts. So no more discounts for students". M.Y. was so frustated and scolded the cashier that the staff should have told us earlier.
In conclusion, we promised ourselves not to eat there again. It's a scam for students! And it's our fault for falling into that trap... (*sigh~)
Observations
I really love to observe so that I can remember what I see. That’s why I love to learn about different cultures all around the world. From observing what my friends around me, what they’re wearing, what their expressions are like, what they are doing to every single bit of details and flaws on objects, the habit of doing so seems to be addicted.
I observed the table of grades published for the Mid Term Examinations at the school bulletin board during lunch. As I looked at the table, I’ve found that the results of practical assessment in terms of assignments and presentations are so unfair. For me, I only get 8 out of 10 points for Marketing Presentations. Comparing to other students, I only get very average marks as I really tried my very best to complete the works.
I also observed some of my classmates with other students whom I do not know at a school hall for their choir rehearsal today by letting myself sitting alone at a corner of the room. For their choir performance, the song they’re singing is the newly composed school anthem by one of the senior students who is much more talented in music. They were really great at singing during the session but I don’t feel any passion from them for the school itself.
Seeing them gathering together around singing the song somehow makes me feeling even more boundaries in between. This kind of a feeling is just the same as the feelings I had towards my ex-classmates for the last school semester… Am I actually the one who doesn’t belong?
Hung out at nearby McDonalds with my best friend. We bought ourselves fries and chit-chatted for 30 minutes about how suck our life has been at school before going home... How far can I take my own path of life to observe?
Left Brain, Right Brain
THE RIGHT BRAINJust like what I've learned in Art Class last semester, one's creativity and intelligence is based on either side of the brain known as brain dominance. So what does it actually mean of this brain dominance thing? Does it mean if someone, who is left-brained, will always have the tendency to be much better in terms of academic grades than a right-brained counterpart?
To be really honest, there is actually no accurate answer for the question above as this is because either side of the brain has their own advantages in terms of skill abilities, organization preferences and emotional control. It is said that a left-brained person has the ability of being organized and good at subjects that requires logical thinking (Maths and Sciences). Besides, concentrating in a long lecture is definitely an advantage of a left-brained person.
And since I love drawing, have started it when I was only five, and being left-handed in almost every activity I do, people I know keep assuming I'm right-brained. And to prove these people whether if they're right or wrong, I endeavored a quiz I found three hours ago and trust me, not only the assumption from them is correct but also utterly precise in terms of personality description in the test results. Spooky, really spooky...
