Just Another Midterm Examination...

I sat for Psychology paper this evening at 2:30pm. Literally, I can say it was an absolute, complete nightmare that I could not even bear to sit. Previously, I spent like hours revising it but somehow, I didn't manage to store those crappy lecture notes in my brain though. Hence, I wrote crap jokes (which are actually not funny) in the 3rd section (Essay Question) of the paper and left the room like nobody's business. I hope to survive at upcoming Math paper on next Wednesday... LOL

Tomorrow will be Friday (like, duh!) and I'd meet Esther at school in the afternoon to help her buying a registration form. Besides, I need to go shopping for more books for light reading... I wonder what I should get for this week...

Final Examinations...

Final examinations have started this evening at 2pm in auditorium hall with Writing for Business to be the very first paper to sit in. For this subject, students were given 2 hours to answer all the questions provided. There were 4 sections in this paper where students are required to write two different essays (memo and formal letter) at the 3rd and 4th Section.

Overall, I would rate the paper moderately hard that I couldn't even finish the final question... That proves Silly Joey is a careless little boy most of the time during examinations... And that carelessness has sometimes cause him losing some precious marks...

A funny miracle happened due to the shortage of time and the exhaustion of writing while sitting for the exam. Silly Joey used his RIGHT hand that is famous for sketching outline pictures to write just like what he did during Sociology lectures. It was kinda shocking that the hand actually worked well for jolting fast (but ugly handwriting... LOL). Too bad the index finger bled as I overused my strength to grip the pen to write...

Joined Ozee, Yoke Fung and Poh2 to S.F. Cafe at JO Mall near our school after examination for tea and chit-chatting. But instead of tea, we ordered cakes as well for desserts... LOL... I have to be honest telling you that the cakes are quite delicious but fattening (except mine because I had Lemon Yogurt Cheese Cake with green tea). I browsed their menus and surprisingly I found Pad Thai, my favorite... but the price gave me a deep disappointment just because it is too expensive for just a plate of simple Pad Thai.

Wednesday will be a hectic day for me as I'll be sitting Web Page Design, the subject that I hate most!!! I'm wondering how to cope with this subject...

Observations

I really love to observe so that I can remember what I see. That’s why I love to learn about different cultures all around the world. From observing what my friends around me, what they’re wearing, what their expressions are like, what they are doing to every single bit of details and flaws on objects, the habit of doing so seems to be addicted.

I observed the table of grades published for the Mid Term Examinations at the school bulletin board during lunch. As I looked at the table, I’ve found that the results of practical assessment in terms of assignments and presentations are so unfair. For me, I only get 8 out of 10 points for Marketing Presentations. Comparing to other students, I only get very average marks as I really tried my very best to complete the works.

I also observed some of my classmates with other students whom I do not know at a school hall for their choir rehearsal today by letting myself sitting alone at a corner of the room. For their choir performance, the song they’re singing is the newly composed school anthem by one of the senior students who is much more talented in music. They were really great at singing during the session but I don’t feel any passion from them for the school itself.

Seeing them gathering together around singing the song somehow makes me feeling even more boundaries in between. This kind of a feeling is just the same as the feelings I had towards my ex-classmates for the last school semester… Am I actually the one who doesn’t belong?

Hung out at nearby McDonalds with my best friend. We bought ourselves fries and chit-chatted for 30 minutes about how suck our life has been at school before going home... How far can I take my own path of life to observe?

Left Brain, Right Brain

THE RIGHT BRAIN

Just like what I've learned in Art Class last semester, one's creativity and intelligence is based on either side of the brain known as brain dominance. So what does it actually mean of this brain dominance thing? Does it mean if someone, who is left-brained, will always have the tendency to be much better in terms of academic grades than a right-brained counterpart?

To be really honest, there is actually no accurate answer for the question above as this is because either side of the brain has their own advantages in terms of skill abilities, organization preferences and emotional control. It is said that a left-brained person has the ability of being organized and good at subjects that requires logical thinking (Maths and Sciences). Besides, concentrating in a long lecture is definitely an advantage of a left-brained person.

And since I love drawing, have started it when I was only five, and being left-handed in almost every activity I do, people I know keep assuming I'm right-brained. And to prove these people whether if they're right or wrong, I endeavored a quiz I found three hours ago and trust me, not only the assumption from them is correct but also utterly precise in terms of personality description in the test results. Spooky, really spooky...

So this is a part of the test result I've gotten as a right-brained person:
  • You take notes but lose them. You may have a hard time keeping track of your research
  • You might have a hard time making up your mind
  • You are good with people
  • You don't fall for practical jokes as easily as some
  • You seem dreamy, but you're really deep in thought
  • People may have told you you're psychic
  • You like to write fiction, draw, or play music
  • You might be athletic
  • You like mystery stories
  • You take time to ponder and you think there are two sides to every story
  • You may lose track of time
  • You are spontaneous
  • You’re fun and witty
  • You may find it hard to follow verbal directions
  • You are unpredictable
  • You get lost
  • You are emotional
  • You don't like reading directions
  • You may listen to music while studying
  • You read lying down
  • You may be interested in “the unexplained”
  • You are philosophical
Well, yes. I admit that I always come late for classes and think A LOT whenever I lay down. However, being athletic is the only statement that doesn't apply to me. What about the plan of going to a fitness gym although it almost never happen? A tendency? Maybe...

So what about you? Are you curious to know your brain dominance? You can CLICK HERE to try out the test. Speaking about creativity once more, I kinda like the picture of the right brain above...

End of 2008, End of Disasters - Please?

I almost forgot to update posts due to busy schedules preparing for final presentations. Lucky me for remembering this blog I have for almost a year... (feeling shame)... Anyways, what's up for today? Well, pardon me for a little habit of complaining...

I had a presentation for Web Page Design this morning that turned into a total mess just exactly like what everyone seemed to assume. You can say it's my fault as well because I'm in the group so we all should take critical responsibilities as a whole. But I really couldn't believe that my laptop that uses AMD processor can create a conflict with a simple LCD projector that only recognizes Intel-based gadgets during the preparation for the presentation. As a result, presentation was being done late... I'm so sorry!

Besides, someone in the group, who is a boy, just read the presentation slides with short sentences provided without giving any elaborations which I had to backup his speeches every after his speech.

This year is just overwhelming enough to celebrate new year. From the first semester of studies until now in 2008. I wonder what 2009 would bring...

Resting...

Everyone at school talks about Christmas... How will you celebrate yours?

Thank God that I've recovered from high fever by taking heavy medications... I've finally handed in all four of the assignments in these two days... And even today, I managed to give good enough presentation for Writing for Business during the submission of the report in tutorial class.

Returned home in severe exhaustion at 5pm, I finally could relax my self playing with my new dog which is a pekingese breed. It was quite unlucky to have a blackout all over the residential area I live from 6pm to 8pm just now. Now, everything stressful to me has been managed. I will find some time to relax myself even more... What about partying like an animal with best friends during Christmas?

Busy Week...

Run, run, run for your life!

I've got a fever today... because assignments are overwhelming that I have to hand in a total of four assignments (Writing for Business, Marketing, Management, and Web page Design) on next Monday... I hope to recover as soon as possible in order to finish my works. You will have to pardon me again if I haven't posted anything for about three or four days... gotta go~

Assignments...

How many turns do I have to make in order to solve the problems?

So, all the assignments are already being started. And I can say it is quite weird for me this semester because all assignments in every subjects must be done in groups... Since there are quite a lot of uncertainties for me and my group members in order to do researches, we will have to ask our tutors for a consultation next week.

The 1st submission of assignment will be a combination of a slide presentation and a press comference about Barack Obama for the subject, Writing for Mass Communication on next Wednesday. Surprisingly, all my group members are boys and we expect an amusement because one of us has to take the role of Barack Obama's wife, Michelle.

And since that I have a whole new circle of friends to complete my assignment with, I won't have to sleep at any of my friend's room to complete the works at this semester, at least. I don't mean any offense but it will always be a lot lesser embarrassment for me to use their limited facilities in their rooms because they need the facilities more than I do. And it will be no arguments over the facilities with them just like the one that happened last semester.

Anyways, please do wish us good luck for the upcoming press conference. I'll stop here... heading out...

Quick Update - Management BUT Marketing...

I could do nicely for Management this evening but NOT Marketing...
I feel that I'm gonna flunk it...
And I'm expected to be nagged by my Marketing tutor then lecturer...

Whatever, gotta start to get Sociology assignment done...
I'll talk about some assignments here in the next post...

I'm heading out again... (*sigh~)

Wassup With Today?

What's wrong with today? Well, nothing much has happened... But Midterm Examinations has started... I had a practical assessment for Web Page Design this morning then sat for Writing for Mass Communication in the evening. It is the fact that the practical assessment was overwhelming! I didn't study anything for it so I thought I would give up. Some classmates had arrived at computer laboratory before me and I found them turning pages and pages of notes just to do some "last-minute studies" before the assessment began. The tutor arrived about 9am and everyone were given 30 minutes time to complete the tasks. However, it was quite difficult for me to complete everything because I had forgotten some of the HTML codes like construction of horizontal lines and anchoring links. Although it was difficult, I managed to get 14 marks out of 20. Not so bad but isn't it surprising?

Instead of feeling nervous for the whole evening, it was quite relaxing for me to sit for the subject, Writing for Mass Communication. I knew that I have done some mistakes at answering a few questions but I've no regrets doing some flaws because I really didn't know what the answers were. I've learned a lot even during the examinations- really.

Surfed Internet spontaneously until I found a forum showing so called "A Famous Couple in Beijing" where a photo gallery of a Chinese gay couple is being featured inside. However, it makes me really curious what makes them famous. I know they might be gay, but that doesn't make any sense to make them famous. Not to mention some of my friends who are gays, bisexuals and lesbians, including myself, who is also a gay, do not even appear to be famous for being what we are. Even some celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres become famous because of their careers. Nevertheless, I'm suspecting the shorter "guy" who appears to be an "Uke" is actually a girl... or maybe it's just me... whatever... Click HERE for the forum for pictures...

The Third Edition of Management : A Practical Introduction

Need to manage things accordingly?

Feedback of the book (which can also be found inside):

"This is an excellent introductory management text designed for maximum student comprehension. The material is presented in a manner that permits students to see the concepts as tools, not merely as things to memorize"

Studies, Studies and More Studies...

"How Many Books Have You Invested In A Year?"

School days have now become richer and more essential for me and I'm happy with it just because I have got good friends to study with. In the new tutorial class, I've somehow adapted well at lessons and done school homework in time. Besides, lecture notes and tutorial worksheets have become more organized than before. Maybe it was the subject Management Studies that has taught me a lesson for being organized at studies at the moment... I like the subject very much and the way of being organized for now. It's a whole new experience for me.

But there is always a subject that is always bothering me. Sociology!!! It gives me headache these days just because the lecturer does not have good command in English. Well, I'll have to think of a way to overcome the confusions in this subject... (*sigh~)... Marketing? Memorizing facts have become easier for me because there are quite a lot of abbreviations in the lecture notes. I really enjoy both Marketing and Management for studies.

Assignments are starting soon and I'm really looking forward to do them because I want to know what it is like to build a good website in a group with my own hands for Web Page Design. There's also an assignment doing a Press Conference for Writing For Mass Communication. Who knows what am I going to write? (*evil grin~)One of the textbooks I use for studies, HTML and XHTML for Web Page Design

New School Semester

I didn't expect to update my posts anytime soon. But who cares? I'm finally back... Well, new school semester has now begun. It is now a brand new session for another start. As usual, I travel by train then a bus to the place where I go to study. But everything has now changed and they will never be the same since the day I applied to another tutorial class.

In the whole new cycle of time at school, the iodine-like smell of the hall that used to be a part of the school environment has now disappeared. The appearances of my ex-classmates; their facial expressions, their outfits, and their hairstyles have become totally different. It's no doubt that I changed quite a lot just as much as they are due to the holidays as well. Somehow, I like it that way... and I'm still wondering why...

Haven't practiced my guitar for weeks due to vacations. Now, I still miss the co-curricular activities on Wednesdays. I've decided to go there again starting from next week because I'm quite sick of staying at home. My dad and mom are staying outside frequently and I rarely see them. Too much things has happened at home whenever I see them as well as my siblings and I don't wanna face all of them that frequent anymore. I just don't have the heart for my family at the moment.

Back to the "school" topic again... It's nice to have new cycle of friends in the new class. Moreover, I've gotten good chances to learn subjects that are totally foreign for me. They are Management Studies, Marketing, Writing for Business, and Writing for Mass Communication. Besides, I feel grateful to have 2 subjects that I am quite familiar with; Sociology and Web Page Design. I'm really looking forward to study them and I hope the lecturers will not disappoint me because I really want to improve my grades.

As for romances, I haven't met my Mr. Right yet. I think I will prefer to stay single... because I want freedom to do whatever and go wherever I want. But my emotions are somehow fading without any reasons...

Art Assignment - Media Showcase

Bonjour tout le monde!

It has been a few days since my last Blog post. At last, I'm very happy that my friends and I have finally completed our final assignment for Arts. Hurray for me that I don't have to take another annoying sleepover session anymore!!! In class, we shared the room with another team members who did something related to our artworks. As presenters, we were totally shocked and surprised that we have attracted a lot of people outside to be our audiences. Without wasting anymore time... Here are the photos below that show what we've actually done:

It was my duty to draw. For display images, I sketched the image of the pelvis from a website.Using linear techniques with a charcoal pencil, I draw out the tones and the shadows to form texture.
One of my finished artwork... I hope you like it!Another drawing from me... The human skullThis is what my team members have done for the 2D artwork that can be touched. The media we used includes newspapers, PVA glue, tissue, cardboard, and A2 paperOur 3D model... The bleeding skull!!!The glowing bloody skull lantern beside is also our 3D artwork

P/S: This is the continuation from the last blog post from the imitation of Leonardo Da Vinci's artwork. We have done quite some research in order to get more developed idea yet inspiration from it...

Sleepover in Friends' House...

Howdy, how are y'all doing? This is just a short update to tell you guys that I'm now having a sleepover at 2 friends' house to finish up some final assignments for Arts at school. Since I'm using other person's computer, I will not be replying the messages at the Chatbox for today. Now, I've got to listen to the musics I've put in this Blog. I thought it has some kind of an error but it was just short updates from Imeem.com ...

I miss my guitar at this moment... It's sad that I've forgotten to bring it this morning as I'll be having a lesson during musics club tomorrow evening. Not just my beloved guitar I've just gotten but also boxes of stationery which are actually very important to be used in lessons. In conclusion, I've got a lesson that shows me something; Arts Assignments have given me headaches...

Although Arts assignment has distracted me from a lot of things, I'm still recalling some bad memories I had before... especially him... It's not that I'm still missing him but I want to know when will my 'other half of me' appear to me? Maybe I'm just thinking too much...

... maybe...

My 1st Guitar

Oh My God~ I can't believe it... I have actually bought my 1st acoustic guitar yesterday at the capital city!!! It just looks exactly as above... Thanks to Luke for introducing such a great shop that sells left handed guitar SET at quite low prices! Thanks to my dad for providing some money for me to buy one too... Now I have my own guitar to be used in school music club.

Final Examinations are coming near soon... I don't think I'll update posts that much during this month as I will be busy preparing for them as well as presentations and some final assignments. It is seemed that the school semester runs faster than what I expected... So that's it for now. Talk with you again soon!

10 Minutes Speech

Okay, so I was given a few weeks to do some researches about one TV Show that is aired within the country in 2 years time for Public Speaking. So I chose F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for my assignment, 10 minutes speech because it is still aired in TV locally. But I couldn't believe that I actually talked like crap for the speech but the tutor said "Very PROFESSIONAL" this afternoon. It has totally shocked me...

Does it mean that my speech was successful?

School Assignments~

Phew~ Finally, I've handed in the English and Accounting assignments just in time... Hurray for me! Hehe~ The second Arts Assignment too, where the part of imitating the artist's artwork.

Here's the artist's original artwork - Leonardo Da Vinci's artwork of human arms:

Here's what I've done with a classmate of mine below (Note: the illustration is turned) :

Can you guess which arms are my drawings? Haha~ No idea? The 1st, 2nd and 3rd are my artwork of imitation as my friend does the imitation drawing of the 4th and 5th arm~ What do you think?

Bad Days

Why? Why am I the one to be blamed? WHY?

I still can't believe what was happening to me yesterday. I was blamed and scolded for everything regarding group assignment for English by the tutor for no reason. Wanna know what she said? Here goes;

"I'm so disappointed with all of you for doing the wrong thing! Especially YOU (pointed at me as the whole class watched)!"

JESUS! WHY AM I THE ONE TO BE BLAMED WHEN IT COMES TO GROUP ASSIGNMENT? YOU NAMED IT GROUP ASSIGNMENT AND WHEN IT COMES TO BLAMING, EVERYONE IS TO BE BLAMED IN THE GROUP WITH NO EMPHASIZING! IT WILL NOT BE A RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OTHER MEMBERS WHEN IT COMES TO EMPHASIZING ME! YOU ACTED LIKE YOU'VE SAID THE APPROPRIATE THINGS BUT YOU DIDN'T, YOU STUPID TUTOR! SHAME ON YOU! SHAME! ENGLISH TUTOR EH? ENGLISH TUTORS WITH NO MANNERISM LIKE YOU SHOULD PACK THEIR BAGS AND SCRAMBLE!

Things got even worse when it was Mid Term Examination for Accounting. I couldn't believe myself that I didn't have enough time to complete the final question! All the rewards I got for those was a heavy traffic jam in the evening after school. There wasn't any dinner on the table when I reached kitchen after arriving home... (sigh~)... and finally ended the day with a big sleep at late night.

Bad things went on this morning when I reached school. I was told roughly to be the host for debate during Public Speaking lecture, and the process of being watched started again... (sigh~)... But it was all okay as I could get a desk and a chair, sitting in front quietly and listened what the 1st and 2nd group debated about. But the debate and what the other chairman said were such a mess! They must be lacking of knowledge at debates...

Another Mid Term Examination... Computer Studies. I don't understand why those lecturers were so intense and shouted at everyone else in the hall about the examination rules. The examination was fine but there was 1 question which I couldn't answer... What a waste...

I do hope the days in the future can be better... I feel regretful for studying at the school where teachers blame student...

A Quick Update For Today~

I didn't attend school for lessons today because of emergencies. It is seemed that the condition is harder than what I expected... sigh~ There are upcoming mid term examinations in Accounting and Computer Studies. I don't know if I can pass them but I'll try my best... Wish me luck!
