Rainy Day... (The Directions Taken in My Life... Part 1)

Rain... It always reminds me of every single sad memories which make me feel some degrees of loneliness and sorrow inside. I can still remember there was one time; 13th March 2004; I cried alone under the rain due to betrayal from some people who were so-called-friends... But now, it has become a part of my history which turns me to be less gullible but more fragile... Yes, the history of life... Everyone of us must have some sad memories in the past that has turned us to be stronger from the outside but sometimes weaker from the inside...

Back at school, I've realized everyone; all my new friends, attend to study with full of hopes in order to fulfill their dreams. The cooperations between them is unusually extraordinary yet outstanding. We hangout, laugh and share informations about ourselves. But I want to know... How long will our friendship last? By looking at their witty looks and expressions of staying strong, I always wonder how their hearts would sound like every time when they strain in hardships and disappointments. Is everyone of us destined to struggle for everything we wanted?

The people I envy most; Old friends, most of them have immigrated overseas to further their studies and to continue their lifestyle doing whatever they want to do. Of course, they promise to come back for visiting me sometime if they really miss me. But I really want them to know that I don't really want them coming back to visit me. It's always better for them to continue their lives doing what they've actually wanted to do so that there will be lesser regrets in the very near future... And I've been wondering... will I be granted to get the opportunity to do something I've been hoping to do for long time?

Comparisons... I wonder why it has become the key to diversity between humans to gain self-consciousness... In my opinion, I do believe that everyone is different and that makes us to be unique. It has been very offensively hurting people's heart and turns situations to be very ugly when comparison is made between them because everyone of us has our own unique personality... Why not staying back and accept the way they are?

(... to be continued)

Happy Mother's Day

SONNET XVIII

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

Love... Is It A Crime?

I always wonder why religions have become a boundary for love. Why shouldn't people just intermarry and live happily? Is it that wrong to love someone with different spiritual faiths? 17-year-old young girl named Rand Abdel-Qade, who was a Muslim, is being murdered by her own father for falling in love with a Christian, British soldier in Iraq. However, he was not being charged for murdering as a crime but being ACCEPTED as "HONOR KILLING"?

I wonder why there are people who are still ignorant about other people's love. Can't they just respect and start to accept each other? Death shouldn't be a price to pay for Love.

I had not known about this until I read someone else's blog. These are some of the selected lines from the article.

"She was stamped on, suffocated and stabbed by her father. Several brutal knife wounds punctured her slender, bruised body - from her face to her feet."

"I screamed and called out for her two brothers so they could get their father away from her. But when he told them the reason, instead of saving her they helped him to end her life. "

"He was released two hours later because it was an "honor killing". And, unfortunately, that is something to be proud of for any Iraqi man."
- Leila Hussien, mother of the victim and wife of the murderer

"He was very different from the local men who usually are tough and illiterate. I was in heaven when she was speaking about him. Everything looked so beautiful. But, I always had to remind Rand that she was a Muslim and her family was never going to accept her marrying a Christian, British soldier. Unfortunately she never wanted to hear me. Her mind was very far from reality, but closer to an impossible dream."

"But the thing she used to like talking about best was how he praised her beauty and her intelligence. She told me he called her "princess"."

"She never did anything more than talk to him. She was proud to be a virgin and had a dream to give herself to the man she loved only after her marriage. But she was seen as an animal."
-Zeinab, best friend of the victim

Myths Busted for Sexuality Stereotypes

"Blasting Myths About Lesbians

A lesbian is a woman who is sexually attracted to other women. A few lesbians and teenwire.com are here to dispel some common misunderstandings about lesbians.

Myth #1: Contrary to myth, lesbians do get periods, and they can get pregnant — if they have sex with men.

Raina, a 17-year-old lesbian from California who came out two years ago, can give us the facts. Her monthly cycle is as regular as clockwork. She got her period when she was 12, and she's been menstruating ever since. "I'm just like all the other girls, blood, tampons, and all!" she said.

And why wouldn't she get her period? Your sexual orientation — being straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, or questioning — has nothing to do with your anatomy. Lesbians have the same reproductive organs as straight women: they have vaginas, vulvas, ovaries, and a uterus with a lining that builds up with blood and tissue in response to a hormonal cycle. While some women wish they didn't have periods, you can't lose old "Aunt Flo" that easily.

So, because lesbians have the same body parts as other girls, they're equally able to get pregnant once they start menstruating. That means that, like any other woman, a lesbian who chooses to have intercourse or sex play with a guy should use birth control if she doesn't want to get pregnant.

Myth #2: Contrary to myth, lesbians can get sexually transmitted infections and do need to go to the gynecologist, even if they're sexually active only with women.

Chas, a 15-year-old lesbian from New York, hasn't had sex with anyone yet. But she plans to make her first visit to the gynecologist as soon as she becomes sexually active. "I know that lesbians can still get the same infections straight girls do, so I want to keep myself healthy," she said.

Just like straight women, lesbians need to have a checkup with a clinician yearly as soon as they become sexually active or when they turn 18 — whichever comes first.

And while transmission rates are indeed lower for women who have sex with women, it's still possible for lesbians to acquire and transmit infections through mutual masturbation, oral sex, or sharing sex toys. Lesbians can reduce the risk of infection the same way straight people can — through safer sex, including low risk behaviors and the use of latex barriers — like using gloves, Glyde® dams for oral sex, and condoms on sex toys.

Women who use sex toys should follow the manufacturer's directions for keeping them clean.

Myth #3: Contrary to myth, not all lesbians are virgins, and the the sex they have is real.

Tabitha, a 16-year-old lesbian from Washington, says, "I don't think women have to be virgins to be lesbians."

People have different definitions of virginity, and for same-sex partners, definitions of virginity can be very diverse. Some people believe that a virgin is someone who has never had penile-vaginal intercourse. Others believe that a woman is a virgin if she has an intact hymen — the thin skin that stretches across the opening of the vagina. Lesbians may believe they have given up their virginity if they've had sex with other women, or if they've had oral, anal, or manual — not vaginal — sex with men. Some also believe that no matter what kind of sex they may have had with men, it is their first sex with another women that ends their virginity.

For the record, sex doesn't have to include penile-vaginal intercourse to be "real." Real sex for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, or straight folks, can include mutual masturbation, rubbing or "dry humping," penetration with sex toys, or oral sex. With all these possibilities, many women who only have sex with other women don't consider themselves to be virgins.

Some lesbians have had penile-vaginal intercourse before they come out, and some lesbians occasionally have sex with men after they come out. That doesn't make them any "less lesbian" than women who've never had sex with men — we get to choose the labels that makes us feel most comfortable, or we can reject them all if we want to.

The Truth About Gay Guys

Homophobia is negative feelings about people who are (or appear to be) gay, lesbian, or bisexual. It's caused by ignorance, misinformation, or lack of understanding about what lesbian, gay, bisexual, and straight people are really like and how they really appear. Sometimes it shows itself in obvious ways, like gay men and lesbians being beaten up or being denied a job.

But sometimes homophobia comes out in more subtle ways, like stereotyping gay men and men who appear to be gay. As with prejudices against people because of the color of their skin or their gender, some people make unfair assumptions and judgments about gay guys. Let's take a look at a few common myths and misconceptions...

Myth: "He looks/acts gay."

No matter what people may say, it's not possible to determine anyone's sexual orientation just by looking at them. There are many stereotypes about how gay men look and act, but that's all they are — stereotypes. Not all gay men like fashion, listen to dance music, or live in big cities. The stereotype of a high-pitched voice or a limp wrist is simply the stuff seen in movies. Not all gay men are petite or feminine-looking.

Likewise, not all petite, feminine-looking, limp-wristed men are gay! Lots of gay men are big guys with facial hair who enjoy sports and can't tolerate show tunes. Bottom line — you should never assume anything about someone's sexual orientation because of how he looks or acts.

Myth: "He turned gay!"

Scientists aren't exactly sure what causes a person to be straight, gay, lesbian, or bisexual, but there's a lot of evidence that it's based on biological factors that are in place before birth. We do know that whether people are straight, gay, or bisexual is usually established before puberty and before they begin having sex. And although sexual orientation probably begins to develop before birth, it may change over the course of a lifetime.

But that doesn't mean a guy can "turn gay" by hanging out with gay guys, seeing another guy naked, having stereotypically "gay" interests, or for any other reason. Whatever the cause or combination of causes, sexual orientation is not something that people can decide for themselves or for others. It's a part of an individual's identity, and it must be respected.

Myth: "Gay men are perverts."

This is one of the most dangerous, damaging myths about gay men, and it couldn't be more false. The fact is that most pedophiles are straight. Molesting children is a terrible crime, but it has little to do with a person's sexual orientation Also, gay men do not try to "recruit" other men. If you're a guy with gay friends, they're not necessarily hitting on you anymore than your female friends are!

Myth: "Gay men are only interested in sex and can't commit."

Gay men may have a reputation for partying and hooking up with lots of guys, but this is also a stereotype. Many gay guys are happy to just stay home, avoid flashy clothes and clubs, and enjoy quiet activities. And while some gay guys have multiple sex partners, many others prefer long-term, monogamous relationships. (And some prefer long-term relationships that are not monogamous.) Just as with straight people, decisions about sex and relationships vary from person to person and couple to couple.

Myth: "AIDS is a 'gay' disease."

AIDS affects everyone. Anyone who has unprotected sex or shares IV drug equipment with someone who has the virus can get HIV, regardless of sexual orientation. In fact, the fastest growing group of people with HIV is heterosexual women.

Fight Discrimination

Though many people in our society — politicians, public figures, and maybe even some of your friends — will suggest that excluding, harassing, or even bashing gay guys is acceptable, it is not. Scientists have shown that attacking someone because of his perceived sexual orientation is an expression of self-doubt and insecurity about one's own masculinity or sexual orientation. Bashing is a way of trying to destroy what a person fears he recognizes in himself.

Discrimination is wrong on every level, and stereotyping people because of their sexual orientation is just as wrong as stereotyping people because of the color of their skin, or their gender. So the next time you hear someone spreading a gay-guy myth, don't hold back — stand up for what's right and speak the truth!"

Randomness...

I've taken up a decision for a walk,
A chance for me to discover things in my life.
The people around... what they do, and how they talk.
How they behave... but also how they lie... to me.

I've seen a butcher slaughtering a pig,
I've seen beggars begging for money in the streets,
I've seen a man in rags driving a truck vigorously,
I've seen people being greedy for things,
I've heard drunken people scolding me for no reasons.

Is this society too uncivilized to live in?
Why do people have to live
in the shadows
of masquerades?

I've finally opened my eyes,
From the vision full of fantasy.
I've finally realized that life
in the society I live in
has never been easy...
Now,
I can clearly see why people are struggling.
For money,
for Hope,
for Life...

Days after days...
Weeks after weeks...
Months after months...
and Years after years
of work.
How long must people suffer
in order to find
eternal happiness
in their lives?

I can feel people are being separated
in the gap full of distances,
I can also feel everyone is standing out to
bring a purpose in their lives.
Will I ever find a person who I can trust?
Whom I name him "friend"?

I feel everything has never be the same,
By the time flooded with shadows of the past.
I know I'm going through a whole new path,
So much different compared
to my previous teenage years...
Is this what we call "transitional period to adulthood"?

I don't know how long I will have to walk,
I don't even know where I'm walking to.
So much diversions in the ends of every single road,
But why can't I choose two?

Homophobes and Their Homophobias

Okay, so I was compelled to hang out with an overweight yet straight teenage boy called K*(name is hidden for privacy purposes) in the afternoon. I went to my old high school where I was studying before to meet the school counselor 2 days ago. After waiting for nearly an hour for the bus from the residential area I live and staying under the HOT sun walking alone when I reached the bus station near the school, I accidentally bumped into 2 guys who were used to be my ex-school mate. I was happy to meet them at first until one of them bugged me A LOT by questioning me if I had a girlfriend. But it was OKAY, so I just said "No" and the subject from them has then closed.

Reached the school about 11 AM with them. It hasn't been raining for weeks so I sweated A LOT due to the HOT temperature while we were reaching there. Being fed up with the ridiculous weather, we rushed into the Counselor's office very QUICKLY because we know the room is chilled with air conditioner. And of course, were very happy to meet the good ol' friendly counselor at school again. We talked a lot about our part-time job lives after school and all those plans we're making for our future studies. The 2 guys I was talking about has gotten an offer to do Grade 12 (or 6th Form) from the opposite high school. But the counselor was shocked but impressed to know that I've gotten and accepted an offer from a local university. After about half an hour of talk the guys went out to hangout by themselves.

The counselor and I had a private counseling session as soon as they had gone out. It was really fun to talk to her again. Suddenly, I received a phone call... It was K. I felt totally regretful for asking him to come to school to meet the counselor before hanging out. He snapped every word of mine whenever I try to talk to the counselor unfortunately. So I just sat there, keeping quiet while they 'had a match game of words to each other' (My word for 'talked'). But it's still OKAY! So I let them talked with my private talk session being destructed... (sigh~ fine!)

But things got even worse when I hung out with him. I wonder why he's always been curious about my wallet. Why are the foods have to be MY treat every time when I hang out with him? He always bring up the excuse that he will treat me back as soon as he gets his salary. But man, it's not that I'm materialistic or selfish but... Why is he always asking me out without much money in his wallet so that I will pay for his foods? WHY? It has been THREE times that the foods are MY TREAT!!!

I was really mad but I hid my feelings. Yes, my feelings. It has been really easy to hide them since the day I reach my adolescence. But hanging out with him really makes me suffocating. Whenever I eat with him with the foods being my treat at a restaurant, he will bring up the topics of pretty girls he admire that annoys me. And there's a quote from him that really makes me wanted to give him a big slap at his cheeks. That is, the "You know, I think you're gay just because you haven't found a girl you truly admire."

Yes, he KNOWS that I'm gay. But he JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND!!! When I say I'm gay, I'm GAY! And nothing is gonna change that.

Straight people...
Why do straight people assume every one around them is straight then make homophobic jokes and false statements about gay people? These really prick on my nerves!

Homophobia is really starting to bug me. This is the reason I've begun to dislike straight men. I don't think that I would mind to talk to them as much if they weren't so homophobic. It hurts every time someone uses the word "gay" in a homophobic way. I don't like to feel being hated. It hurts me more when a grown up says it (especially my dad). Like a gambler for example, I also feel guilty and scared. I am really scared about what they would do if they found out. I could go on but it still hurts when it comes to homophobes who keep talking and thinking about it...

Today's Topic - Men's Underwear

So guys, what kind of underwear do you prefer to wear? Boxer shorts, trunks, boxer briefs, briefs, jockstraps or thongs? As for me, I'm mostly a boxer brief guy and sometimes a trunkie. Jockstraps and boxer shorts? I like those as well. So, how do you choose a good pair of underwear when you're shopping out? And for girls who are reading this (by accident or not), what kind of underwear would you like your men to wear?

Regardless of sexual orientation of men, studies show that wearing the wrong kind of underwear to impress their lover in bed can be really embarrassing for men. That is because men wouldn't want to be laughed at instead of getting their partners to feel horny.

Of course, in this era, there are varieties of style and fashion for men including underwear. CLICK HERE to see the photo gallery of hot male models in those sexy underwear.

Do You Actually Know This?

You've learned about it during sex education campaigns at school. The lecturers have showed the whole diagram of the male genitalia. However, what they emphasized during the session were about the testicles and sperm production but not much about the penis. For those who are curious about what's inside the organ, you can learn the basic internal structure of the penis from the diagram below.

Chocolates, Glorious Chocolates!

Almost everyone loves chocolates. As one of the most popular flavors in the world, these chocolates have been traditionally famous for consumption, cooking and being given as presents for every single occasion. It is also widely used as courtship ritual. Several health benefits are scientifically proven that has categorized it as "brain-food" which enhances the memory in your brain.

People will always find pleasure when they eat it. But how do they find pleasure of eating it? The fact is, the melting point of most chocolates are slightly lower than the body's temperature. Hence, melting chocolate in one's mouth produced an increase in brain activity and heart rate that was more intense than that associated with passionate kissing.

However, excessive consumption can lead health risks such as obesity and lead poisoning. A person who is addicted to consume chocolate is called as Chocoholic. It can be very harmful if it is consumed by animals such as dogs and cats due to the presence of Theobromine.

Chocolates always come in many types. Common types of chocolates include Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate, sometimes Compound Chocolates, Combination of both or more Chocolates, and even Cocoa Powder (Can you believe that your Cocoa drink is actually chocolate?). Added ingredients are frequently contain inside Chocolates such as peanuts, nuts, fruits, caramel and crisped rice. Additive flavors such as mint are sometimes included to increase the taste.

Prices of chocolates differ not just because of the brands of the products but also the ingredients used and days of processing. The final process of making chocolate is called tempering which influences the hardness of the chocolate.

In conclusion, we should appreciate the use of chocolate in our daily lives and control the amount of consumption so that we can live happily and healthily ever after.
